Tyler came to me with the intriguing main guitar riff & listening to it made me think of a long relaxing car trip, looking out and seeing the afternoon sun shine through the trees lining the road, resembling a strobe light as you move past. Once I came up with the lyrical idea & hook, Tyler built the rest of the instrumentation around the rest of the melody/lyrics I came up with & we revised everything together. Writing the song provoked a pleasant memory, filling me with a calm peaceful feeling from past adventures.
lyrics
I'll find a way
To where we used to go
Where we used to roam
And the light shined through the trees like
Strobe lights
Strobe lights
Through the trees
Strobe lights
Strobe lights
Through the trees
To where we used to go
To where we used to roam
Strobe lights
I don't feel time, whenever I am here, everything is clear
Drown away my fears, lights thru the mirror
Yeah, I'm at rest, in the silencе, between each breath
I am pеace, as we lay here, underneath the sky
The stars are mine, in the middle of july
Yeah, I'm at rest, in the silence, between each breath
Strobe lights
Strobe lights
Through the trees
Strobe lights
Strobe lights
Through the trees
To where we used to go
To where we used to go
Through the trees
To where we used to go
I'll find a way
To where we used to go
Where we used to roam
And the light shined through the trees like
Strobe Lights

Sweetly melancholy bedroom pop is rarely as actually vulnerable and personal as it is in this Australian artist's hands. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 21, 2018
